There were many good shows this week and I brought my camera to most of them. So here’s a look at some photos from a very bountiful week for music.
The Jim Keller Band played Spike Hill on Tuesday night for nearly 90 minutes. They played old favorites and unveiled some songs from their next album.
Alana Amram and The Rough Gems played The Way Station Wednesday night with a mix of old songs and songs to be featured on an album to be recorded shortly.
Kelli Scarr followed Alana with a show featuring the songs of Karen Dalton as well as Kelli’s original material.
Sad Bastard is Charlene McPherson and Mo Goldner of Spanking Charlene covering sad songs acoustically. This show happened early Friday night at ZirZamin.
Later Friday, Mikal Evans rocked The Rockwood Music Hall with her band.
Tomorrow in Part 2, I’ll post photos from Thursday’s show at The Highline Ballroom featuring Charlene Kaye, Alexz Johnson, Jay Stolar and Misty Boyce.
